Check a clinic before travelling
Use opening sessions, booking instructions and fee sources to plan a visit. A published timetable is not a live promise that a clinician is available, and a directory cannot triage symptoms.
1. Identify the service and session
Check the clinic type, address and day-specific session rather than a search excerpt alone. Holiday arrangements and appointment rules can differ from ordinary weekday hours. The original provider link and the source date matter most when a trip depends on a specific session.
2. Confirm access directly
Call or use the provider's own booking service before travelling when possible. Ask whether a booking is required, whether walk-ins are accepted and what documents to bring. Treat “open now” as a timetable filter, not an appointment confirmation or evidence that an appropriate service is available.
3. Keep payment and eligibility questions separate
A consultation price may exclude medicines, procedures and tests. Ask for the relevant breakdown. Voucher acceptance does not establish eligibility for every patient or service. Keep saved notes to contact details and logistical questions; do not store symptoms, diagnoses or patient identifiers.
Work through a decision
Example: a Sunday session appears in the timetable. Check its date and booking route, then confirm with the provider before relying on it for a journey.
